Ohio has made a significant update to its auction laws.  The Ohio Auctioneer Commission is in the process of updating its regulation in light of the new updated auction laws.

There is an online class in January 2022 with bonus free in-person chant classes for students enrolled in the January 2022 course.  The student does not need to attend the bonus free in-person classes. There is no additional cost for the bonus in-person chant classes.
The class is a mix of online LIVE sessions via Zoom, on-demand lessons and optional in-person training at various locations around the country.
The student will receive a Missouri Auction School diploma for completing the online course only.  The online class includes LIVE chant improvement small group video conferencing via Zoom with Missouri Auction School instructors and auctioneers.  Instructors will include world champion auctioneers.

This Schedule is for Residents of Ohio.  Ohio Resident means the student has an Ohio driver's license.

 

Cost of School for Ohio Education requirements:

Online auction school class - Monday evening, January 3 to Friday, January 14, 2021. This is an online course.  See below for more information.  Early Bird tuition for the Ohio educational requirements for the auction school is $1,295 if paid before Tuesday, December 14.  After December 14, regular tuition is $1,595.
This Schedule is for Residents of Ohio.  Ohio Resident means the student has a Ohio driver's license.

Bonus Free In-Person Auction Chant Classes

The Bonus Free In-Person Auction Chant Classes (no extra cost). See Map.

The Bonus Free In-person Auction Chant Classes are available for students in the January 2022 course only.
1. The student does not need to attend the bonus free in-person classes.
2. The In-Person Auction Chant Classes are completely optional.
3. The student will receive a Missouri Auction School diploma for completing the online course only.
4. There is no additional cost for the bonus in-person chant classes.
5. The student is required to complete the online course to be allowed to attend the bonus In-Person free auction chant class.
6. Each location will have a one day in-person auction chant class with an instructor.
7. The dates and times of the bonus free in-person auction chant class will be dependent on the auctioneer teacher’s schedule.
8. The dates of the free bonus in-person auction chant classes will be after the completion of the online class and have not been set yet. The in-person auction chant classes will likely be late January or February for the January 2022 course. The exact dates will be announced to the students during the January 2022 course.
9. Open only to the students of the January 2022 course.

Locations: The Bonus Free In-Person Auction Chant Classes are available for students in the January 2022 course only.
1. OHIO - Muskingum County, Ohio - Instructor Ron Kreis is a former World Livestock Auctioneer Champion. Ron also sells purebred livestock. In addition, Ron has sold many heavy equipment auctions across the US and Europe. He has also sold at the largest annual Barrett-Jackson classic car auction in Phoenix. This session will concentrate on improving your auction chant.
2. ILLINOIS - DeWitt County, Illinois - Instructor Rob Nord has owned and operated a prosperous auction company for decades. His consignment auctions include general merchandise. Other auctions are specialty auctions, like antique toys. He also has a Real Estate Auction Service. He has traveled across the US selling government auctions. He has been featured on national TV shows about high-value government seizure auction. This session will concentrate on improving your auction chant.
3. IOWA - Dunlap, Iowa Livestock Market - Instructor Jon Schaben is a former World Livestock Auctioneer Champion. He owns and auctions at livestock markets in Iowa and Nebraska. Jon also auctions real estate and estate auctions. Jon is known across Iowa as a fantastic charity/fundraiser auctioneer. Jon holds the Iowa state fundraising auction record for Special Olympics and the Iowa State University athletic department. This session will concentrate on developing the chant.
4. OKLAHOMA/KANSAS - Coffeyville Livestock Market - Instructor Brian Little is a former International Livestock Auctioneer Champion. He owns and auctions at his livestock market on the Oklahoma/Kansas state line. This session will be to help the students improve their chant.
5. CALIFORNIA - Orange County, California - Instructor Sean Fraley conducts large government auctions across the country. These government auctions sell seized government property. Sean also has extensive experience selling art, collectibles, and antique auctions. This session will be to help the students improve their chant.

ONLINE CLASS INFORMATION: The dates for Ohio will be Monday evening, January 3 through Friday, January 14. This will include both on-demand video lessons available for listening anytime during the course (24 hours a day) and LIVE small group sessions with prominent auctioneers including world champion auctioneers from throughout the United States.
The student will need to join a zoom meeting for the LIVE small group sessions. You can join a zoom meeting via Windows PC computer, Apple computer, Chromebook, Android smartphone, iPhone, iPad, or Android tablet for the LIVE small group sessions.
LIVE small group required sessions are:
Monday Evening, January 3 (Required) and Wednesday Evening, January 5 (Required) Time for Zoom small group chant classes will be assigned.
Sunday, January 9 through Friday, January 14 (Afternoon and Evening - Required) Time for Zoom small group chant classes will be assigned.

The student must be available on the following days:
January 3 (Monday) through  January 5 (Wednesday) The student will be expected to listen to the online lessons which teach the basics of a good chant. The student can take these on-demand lessons anytime day or night. The student will need to practice these beginning chant principles after listening to that day's lessons. The student needs to allow between 1-3 hours for practicing the principles in each of the lessons. These days will be listening to lessons and practicing. These sessions are required.
January 3 (Monday Evening) and January 5 (Wednesday Evening). These two days will include a small group chant class (group video conferencing via Zoom) each day with an auctioneer instructor. The remainder of the time on these two days, the student should practice the chant on their own for a few hours to prepare for the next small group chant class (small group video conferencing via Zoom). The student will be assigned a group video conferencing time each day. Instructions will be provided for the student with directions on how to attend the group video conferencing via zoom. These sessions are required.
January 9 (Thursday) through January 14 (Friday) The student will have access to all of the on-demand videos covering all aspects of the auction business. The student may take these on-demand video lectures any time day or night during the week. These on-demand video lectures are available online 24 hours a day. Listening to these on-demand video auction business lectures is required. The student should allot 2-4 hours daily to listen to the videos. The student can also listen to all the videos all at once (binge watch) if the student prefers. These sessions are required.
January 9 through January 14 (Sunday - Friday) Required small group chant improvement small group video conferencing via Zoom with several Missouri Auction School instructors and auctioneers. Instructors will include world champion auctioneers. The dates and times will be dependent on the auctioneer teacher’s schedule. The student is required to participate in these sessions. The student will be assigned to the small group video conferencing chant improvement sessions. These sessions are required. Required Sessions

Instructor: Paul Dewees, President of the Missouri Auction School - Topic: Chant Improvement

Paul is a nationally known auctioneer and auction educator. He has conducted auctions in 29 states and has been a featured speaker on auctions across the United States and in several countries around the world. He has sold autos, US customs auctions, real estate, business liquidations, and equipment. He is also an instructor for the Certified Appraisers Guild, the largest personal property appraiser organization in the United States.

From Monday, January 9 to Friday, January 14 you will need to take the following required sessions. Each instructor will hold their session on one day during that week. Exact daily schedule to be announced.

Instructor: Sean Fraley from California - Topic: Antique Auctions &/or Government Auctions - Chant

Sean conducts large government auctions across the country. These government auctions sell seized government property. Sean also has extensive experience selling art, collectibles, and antique auctions.

Instructor: Dwayne Craig from Arkansas - Topic: Real Estate Auctions, Auto/Heavy Equipment Auctions, Antique Auctions - Chant Improvement

Dwayne is a former Arkansas State Champion Auctioneer. Dwayne has owned several Real Estate Auction companies in Oklahoma & Arkansas. He has sold real estate at auction across the U.S. working as a contract auctioneer for a New England real estate auction company.
In addition, Dwayne has sold auto auctions for over 10 years. He has sold heavy equipment auctions in the US, Europe, & the Philippines.
Dwayne has sold estate auctions and antique auctions.

Instructor: Rob Nord from Illinois - Topic: Government Auctions, Real Estate Auctions & Consignment Auctions - Chant Improvement

Instructor: Brian Little from Oklahoma - Topic: Livestock Auctions – Chant Improvement

Brian is a former International Livestock Auctioneer Champion. He owns and auctions at his livestock market in southern Kansas.
This session will be to help the students improve their chant. This session is recommended for all students including those who want to sell livestock.

Instructor: Densil Allen from Missouri - Topic: Farm, Household, Estate Auctions, Consignment Auctions, Charity Auctions - Chant Improvement

Densil has successfully conducted farm, household, and estate auctions for decades. He has owned an auction company that has sold auctions in many states.
Densil has extensive experience selling charity auctions.
