Temporary Permit
Applicants who apply to register by examination can request a temporary registration certificate for an additional $10 fee. This temporary credential is valid for no more than 60 days from the date you filed your registration application, during which time you must take the examination. This gives you a window to begin working while your full registration is being finalized, rather than waiting entirely on the sidelines. The temporary permit cannot be renewed or extended, and the fee is nonrefundable.
Renewal and Continuing Education
Licenses are renewed every two years. Wisconsin requires 12 hours of continuing education for renewal.
Auction Companies
An auction company is not required to have its officers, partners, or directors individually registered as auctioneers, unless those individuals personally engage in the specific acts that define practicing as an auctioneer under Wisconsin law.
Reciprocity
Wisconsin has reciprocal agreements with Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, and Texas.
